Enhancing Attention through Mindfulness

This workshop is designed for students who struggle with distractibility, concentration, or have trouble planning or completing work assignments. Workshop participants will be introduced to several evidence-based Mindful Awareness Practices that have been shown to rewire regions of the brain responsible for short-term memory, attention, and concentration.

Chicago Times and Locations

Location: Abbott Hall, 5th Floor, Suite 500, 710 N. Lake Shore Drive 

Times: Tuesdays, 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. (a four-part workshop series)

Evanston Times and Locations

Location: Searle Hall, 3rd Floor, Rm. 3-226, 633 Emerson Street 

Times: Fridays, 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (a four-part workshop series)

  1. Evanston: FRIDAYS 2-3pm, APR. 10, 17, 24, MAY 1
  2. Evanston: FRIDAYS 2-3pm, MAY 8, 15, 22, 29

Drop-In Hours for the Stress Management Resource Center

Students are also welcome to attend our Stress Management Drop-In Hours at the Stress Management Resource Center, located at Rm. 3.233 Searle Hall, Evanston Campus, for additional stress management practice. This is a drop-in clinic, so you can attend as often as you would like. Registration not needed. Evanston Stress Management Resource Center Hours:

April 6th to June 3rd (closed May 25th)

Mondays, 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Fridays, 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
